Thank you to everyone who came out and made our opening night so special.
At our evening dedicated to Enlightenment, we learned about frisky goats and jerks defending the idea of observable proof, and were empowered by the radical idea that it is ok NOT to know. The phrase “hella pissed” was used in reference to Denis Diderot, “sausage fest” in regards to the Royal Society, “a hyena in petticoats” in reference to Mary Wollstonecraft, and there were vintage illustrations of butt biting monkeys. We’ve selected a few photos and quotes and saved a few tweets and stick figure death scenes for posterity.
Thank you to our debut night speakers Chris Carrico, Amy Widdowson, Jade Hoffman, Ryan Galiotto, and Christopher Wallis, and to Sam Nordemann for taking the evening’s glamour shots.
